1 c. real butter, 2/3 tsp. baking powder, 1 c. Crisco, 1/2 c/ cocoa, 3 c. sugar ( I use organic) 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring, 5 eggs, 1 1/4 c. milk, 1/4 tsp. sea salt, and 3 c. cake flour.

Grease and flour tube pan. Preheat oven to 300º. Cream butter and Crisco together, add sugar, cream well. Add eggs one at a time beating after each one. Blend salt, baking powder, cocoa and flour. Mix in alternately with milk and flavoring. Bake for 1 hour and 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
