3 c. sugar, 1 1/2 stick margarine (not Spread), 1 small can of evaporated milk (5 oz), 1 bag (10-12oz) peanut butter or semi-sweet chocolate chips (or you may want to try another flavor) 1 cup chopped nuts (optional), 1 tsp. Vanilla flavoring, and 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme.

In heavy saucepan mix sugar, margarine, and milk. Stir constantly for 5 min., boiling slightly on medium heat. Take off heat and add chips, vanilla, marshmallow creme and nuts. Mix well. May need to keep stirring over low heat until all chips are dissolved well. Pour into buttered 9' x 13" pan. Let cool approximately 1 hour or until good and stiff, but not too dry. Then cut into squares.
