1 stick butter
1 T. salt
1 c. scalded milk

Directions:
Dissolve 2 packages of yeast in 1/2 c. warm water and 1 T. sugar- set aside. Combine 1/2 c. sugar, 1 stick butter, and 1 T. salt in a bowl. Scald 1 cup of milk. Pour milk over the butter mixture and stir until butter is melted. Add 2 c. cool water. Add 2 beaten eggs and then add yeast mixture. Add 3 c. flour or enough to make a soft dough. May need to add up to 4 cups of flour. Stir and let rest 10 minutes. Add rest of flour so dough doesn't cling to fingers (Approx. 3 more cups.) Knead into ball and put in greased bowl. Cover and let rise 1 1/2 hours to double. Knead down and let stand 10 minutes. Then shape into rolls. For yummy rolls, top with the following:

Bring to a boil 2 T. butter, 1/4 c. white corn syrup, and 1/2 c. brown sugar. Put in a 9x9 pan and put rolls in. Let rise. Bake at 350º for 20-30 minutes.

This dough can be use for orange rolls, cinnamon rolls, etc.
