1 lb. hamburger
1/2 lb. Italian sausage
1 med. onion, chopped
1 med. green pepper, chopped
1/2 clove garlic, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
2+ c cooked rice
1 qt. tomatoes
6 oz. tomato paste
1/4 tsp. celery seed
Pinch of basil and oregano to taste
Spoonful of sugar.
Directions:
Directions:
Brown hamburger, sausage, onion, green pepper, garlic in oil. Add salt and pepper.
Combine rice and tomatoes. Add basil, oregano, celery salt, sugar.
Stir well. Add tomato paste as desired for consistency.
In buttered casserole, bake 20-30 min. at 375.
