1 loaf French or Italian Bread (cubed)
1 can apple pie filling
1 to 1 1/2 c pecans (chopped)
2 c heavy cream
2 c whole milk
4 eggs
1 c sugar
4 T melted unsalted butter (cooled)
1 1/2 t vanilla
2 T ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Place cubed bread in a greased 9X13 baking dish. Press down. Spread apple pie filling on top. Top with pecans. Using an electric mixer, mix eggs and sugar well. Add cream and milk. Mix in vanilla, cinnamon and cooled melted butter. Mix well. Pour over bread mixture. Set baking dish in a water bath. To do this, use a larger dish and place the baking dish with pudding in it. Then, pour enough hot water into larger dish to come 1/2 up the side of the pudding dish. Place in a 300º, preheated oven and bake for an hour or until a fork comes out of the pudding clean. Serve warm with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
