1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, separated
1/2 cup shortening, part butter
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 1/2 cups floured blueberries

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together three time. Beat egg whites stiff and set aside. Cream shortening with sugar and add egg yolks, beating well. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk. Fold in egg white, lemon juice and last the blueberries. Bake in 350º oven for 50 minutes in greased 9 x 9 pan or tube pan. Sprinkle batter lightly with sugar before baking for a topping.
