1 cup butter
1 cup water
3 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a small saucepan bring butter and water to a boil. Remove from heat. Place baking chocolate in a small bowl and microwave for one minute. Add to butter and water. In a seperate bowl sift flour, baking soda, and salt. Pour chocolate mixture over sifted ingredients and beat well. In another bowl cream sugar and eggs. Stir in milk and vanilla: beat well. Combine mixtures and pour into a greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 375 F. for about 20 mins. Cool and frost with Chocolate Butter Frosting (recipe below). Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Makes about 12 servings.
