3/4 C sugar
1/3 C all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 C milk
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
2 T vanilla
1 9-inch baked pie shell
Meringue: 3 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour, salt in saucepan. Gradually stir in milk and cook over medium high heat until bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir a moderate amount of hot mixture into yolks. Immediately return to hot mixture. Cook two minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. pour into cooled baked pie shell. Spread meringue on top of pie and bake 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cool.
