1/4-1/3 c oil and 1 stick butter
4 medium to large potatoes peeled and cubed
1 large onion peeled and cubed
2-3 cups of ham cubed
1 can of cream corn
1 pkg of ranch dressing mix
1/4 c flour
2 c whole cream of half and half
2 c water

Directions:
Directions:
In large dutch oven, sautee potatoes and oninons in vegetable oil/butter mixture, about 10 minutes.
Add ham and incorporate into potatoes and onions.
Add flour and mix well until flour is well incorporated in the oil.
Add water and mix well.
Add ranch dressing and mix well.
Add whole cream/half and half and mix well.
Add 1 can of cream corn mix and simmer until potatoes are soft.
salt and pepper to taste,
If more liquid is necesary -add milk

This is another crowd pleaser that I received from a customer many years ago and still make often.
