Double crust, pie crust
6 thinly sliced and peeled apples
3/4 c sugar
2 T flour
2 T butter
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 tsp nutmeg-optional
1 T lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 450º.
Put bottom crust in 9 inch pie plate.
Put all ingredients in a large bowl, except butter.
Toss lightly.
Spoon into crust.
Dot with butter.
Add top crust and flute edges.
Cut several slits on top.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Lower to 350º for 20 minutes more.
