1 T butter
3 cups light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 TSR cream of tarter
2 cups evaporated milk
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
1 T vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Coat Dutch oven with tablespoon of butter. Add brown sugar and next four ingredients. Bring to boil over medium heat; stirring constantly until sugar dissolves (5 minutes). Cover and cook without stirring (2-3 minutes) to wash sugar crystals from sides of pan. Uncover and cook, stirring occasionally (10-12 minutes) or until mixtures reaches a soft ball stage (230º). Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup butter and vanilla. Beat 5 minutes until creamy and thickened. Stir in pecans. Drop on waxed paper until cool.
