3 c. flour,
2 c. sugar,
1/3 c. cocoa,
2 tsp. baking soda,
1 tsp. salt,
2 tsp. vanilla
2 T. vinegar
1/2 c. oil
2 c. water

Torte filling:
2 pkg. German chocolate
3/4 c. softened butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. gradually add the wet ingredients (oil, water, vinegar, and vanilla). Bake in two 9" cake pans at 350º for approximately 25 minutes or until cake springs back to the touch. Split layers into two (four layers in all) and spread torte mixture between each layer.

Torte mixture:
3/4 c. softened butter
1 1/2 pkg. melted German chocolate

Top cake with non-dairy whipped topping and shaved German chocolate pieces.
