2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup plus 1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
1 egg, separated , save the white
milk
2/3 cup cornflakes, crushed
6 cups apples peeled and sliced
1 teaspoon cinnamon
glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoon lemon juicer

Directions:
Directions:
combine flour, 1 teaspoon sugar and salt. Cut in shortening, add enough milk to egg yolk to make 2/3 cup . Add and mix enough so dough shapes into a ball. Roll half of dough into 15 x 11 inch pan.Transfer to jelly pan, cover with crushed cornflakes .Add apples.,1 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll out other half of dough for top crust. Place over apples, pinch edges together. Top with stiffly beaten egg white. Bake at 400 for 40 mins. While hot drizzle glaze over top
