1 egg, well beaten
1/2 milk
1 T oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. diced apples (Tart apples are best.)
1 T baking powder
1 c. flour
1 T sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 tsp. grated orange peel
1/2 tsp cinnamon
powdered sugar

Directions:

Heat oil in your fry daddy or pan. Beat the egg, milk, and oil. Stir in apples and orange peel. Combine the dry ingredients in a separate medium sized bowl. Stir in the egg and apple mixture just until combined. Drop by tablespoons into hot oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and roll in powdered sugar.
