2 cloves garlic
2 T olive oil
1 (28oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp oregano or basil
1 tsp parsley

1. Brown the garlic in the oil. Add the remaining ingredients, gradually.
2. Cook rapidly, uncovered, for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally or until the sauce thickens slightly. Reduce heat to low and simmer until pasta is ready.

I sometimes add a little sugar or wine to add to the flavor. I also may cook a 1/2lb of ground meat to make it a meat sauce.
