1 tbsp. shortening (Like Crisco)
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 pound ground beef
1 small can tomato paste
2 tbsp. yellow mustard (Like French's)
3 tbsp. ketchup
1 can of water (Fill tomato paste can with water)
salt and pepper to taste
1 package of 8 hamburger buns

In a large skillet add shortening, ground beef and chopped onion, brown and stir often, then pour off any grease in the skillet. In skillet add tomato paste, then fill empty can with water and stir in. Add mustard, ketchup, salt and pepper to taste. Cover with a tight fitting lid, simmer 30 minutes stirring often. Serve spooned onto hamburger buns. Serves 8
