½ lb. lard
1 ¼ cups boiling water
1 tsp. salt
5 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over the lard in a mixing bowl. After the lard is melted, add the flour and salt, which have been sifted. Mix thoroughly. This makes an excellent crust for pasties and is very easy to roll. Will make 7 to 9 pasties, depending on size.
