1 c. self-rising cornmeal
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 egg
1 c. chopped onion
buttermilk
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. season salt
oil (for frying, heat but not to hot)
Directions:
Directions:
Add all dry ingredients together. Add enough buttermilk to make dough hold together. Add egg. Stir in additional buttermilk to make soft dough. Using a tablespoon or ice cream scoop, drop into hot oil and cook until golden brown.
