6 leftover biscuits
2 cups milk
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place bread and 1 cup milk in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish; soak bread and milk until soft. Add sugar and eggs, one at a time mixing often. Add butter, vanilla and remaining milk.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes or till custard is firm and a knife inserted in center comes out clean.

For Rice Pudding:
Everything is exactly the same except you use rice, not biscuits.

No self-rising flour? Use 2 cups flour LESS 4 teaspoons of sifted flour, 3 teaspoons baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt.
