1 cup lard
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup molasses
2 tsp soda in 1/2 cup hot coffee
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
6 cups flour

FROSTING
1 pkg knox geletin
]3/4 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
1 2/4 cup sifted powered sugar
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
dash salt

Directions:

Mix and chill dough
roll out and use spam can to cut out cookies
Bake 375 for 6-8 minutes
Soak geletin in water. Add sugar and bring to rolling boil. Simmer 10 min stirring occassionally
Place powdered sugar in bowl and add gelatin mixture slowly and beat till foamy. Add baking powder, vanilla and salt. Beat until thick and frost bottom of cookie.
