2 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. {1lb.} butter
2 eggs {well beaten}
4 c. flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Slowly add flour a little at a time. After all flour is added, then add the beaten eggs and mix thoroughly. Chill overnight in waxed paper. Depending on size of eggs, more flour can be added before chilling overnight.
Roll out on floured board or cloth. Try to roll it very thin. Brush each cookie with beaten egg whites and sprinkle with red and green sugar or cinnamon and sugar.
