Ingredients:
Lowry's seasoned salt
McCormick lemon and pepper seasoning
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Chicken pieces
Crisco vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse and dry the chicken and season liberally with the first two ingredients and less so with the powders. Heat oil to medium high. Use enough oil to half cover the chicken in the pan. Flour chicken lightly and cook immediately. Gail turns the chicken several times during the cooking process. Now what is strange - very little flour falls off the chicken when Gail cooks it. Drain on towels or rack.

THE BRANDS ARE IMPORTANT WHERE LISTED (I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP).

The recipe Gail gave me said to put enough Lowry's that the chicken begins to look orange, and Gail says use the brand name, use the brand name! For those who want slightly less spice, you can leave out the lemon pepper and the onion powder.

Cut them apart and put some in your pressure cooker with a bottle of BBQ sauce and a little orange juice.

Put them into gently boiling water and shake on black pepper, sage, salt (I have used poultry seasoning) and a little vinegar. Cook 1/2 hour on very low temperature (barely simmering). Take out and put in iron skillet under preheated broiler just till it sizzles a little. Cover it with whatever sauce your family likes and turn down very low (275 - 300 degrees). Cover it with whatever sauce your family likes and turn down very low (275 - 300 degrees). Cook until the meat will come off of the bone with a fork. It the pan dries out, add LITTLE water as needed.

Remember the way Sunday fried chicken tasted when we were kids? About 12 years ago I decided to buy some lard and fry it in that to see if it would taste the same. Well, it did. It was delicious.
