1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp cram of tarter
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
coat with:
2 Tbsp cinnamon and 2 tsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, and eggs together. Stir in dry ingredients. roll dough into walnut sized balls. Roll balls in cinnamon sugar mixture until coated. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 400º for 8-10 minutes.

For the holidays use colored sugar in place of the cinnamon/sugar mixture.
Christmas - red and green
Easter - pastels
valentines day - pink and red
Halloween - orange and black
4th of July - red and blue
