6 T butter
6 T brown sugar
1/4 t cinnamon
1/4 t nutmeg
4 med bananas
1/4 c light cream
1/4 c brandy
chopped pecans
vanilla ice cream

In iron skillet, melt butter. Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cream. Slice bananas into skillet. Add nuts. Cook gently, turning to coat bananas till mixture bubbles. Stir in brandy.

Personal Notes:
Can throw in a couple T of English walnuts with pecans. If you're adventurous (or have great insurance) you can heat the brandy separately, ignite it and pour over bananas and ice cream, for a flaming dessert. This recipe was from my college roommate Sarah Aschbrenner.
