2 T butter
30 pecan halves
1/3 C light brown sugar
pastry for 9" pie.

6 C sliced apples
3/4 C granulated sugar
2 T flour
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Line plate with foil leaving overhang. butter pie plate and press pecans (round side down) into butter and press brown sugar in remaining places. Place crust over and press gently in place. Layer apples and sugar mix and cover with 2nd crust. Prick and brush with milk. Bake 10 minutes at 450º and 35-40 at 375º. Let stand five minutes. Invert on a plate and peel off foil. Serve warm with whipped cream.
