1/2 C sugar
3 T butter
1 egg
1 t vanilla
1 C flour

1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/4 C milk
3/4 C brown sugar

2 1/2 C fresh berries

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, sugar and egg. Stir in flavoring. Sift flower, baking powder and salt and add alternatively with milk to creamed mixture. Melt 3 T butter in a buttered 8x8 pan. Add brown sugar and melt together. Spread berries over top. Pour batter over berries. Batter is thick. do best you can and then bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Pour heavy cream over and serve. Oh yes.
