Ingredients:
Ingredients:
8-10 lbs potatoes
7-8- hard boiled eggs
1 large onion, diced
Miracle Whip Salad dressing
prepared Mustard
Milk or canned milk
Vinegar
Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mom didn't have a recipe. She just used to taste the dressing to see if it tasted right. Me and Diana Rollins, Jim's wife, do the same thing. We just do the taste test too.Combine the potatoes, onions, and eggs, then add the dressing. If desired, sprinkle with Paprika to look pretty.
Grandma Barton (Mattie) made homemade dressing in the days before Miracle Whip. Aunt Martha Barton Ashby doesn't have a recipe per say either and makes it like the rest of us. Some day we need to figure out the measurements of the ingredients so the next generation can make it to taste like our "special Potato Salad".

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
We always make this salad for picnics and the 4th and 24th of July and when requested for other gatherings.
