3 cups flour
1 tbs sugar
1 tsp salt
1 pkg yeast
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup milk
2 tbs margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Set aside 1 cup flour. In large bowl, mix remaining flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Heat water, milk and margarine to 130º. Stir into dry mixture. Mix in only enough flour to make soft dough. On floured surface, knead 4 minutes.
Divide in half. Roll each to an 8x5" rectangle. Shape into loaves. Place into greased pans. Cover, let rise until double. Bake 350º for about 45-60 min until done. It will sound hollow when you flip it when done.

Home made bread was a staple of life for our ancestors. They made many loaves of bread most days. This recipe was Jesse Evans Smith's. She was the wife of our Prophet Joseph Fielding Smith.
