Ingredients: 1 lb. ground beef 2 - 1/2 cups mozzarella 2 cups ricotta (or cottage) cheese 1/2 cup parmesan 1/4 cup parsley (fresh), or 2 tbsp. dry 1 egg, lightly beaten 1 can (680 ml) pasta sauce 1 - 1/2 cups water 12 lasagna noodles, uncooked

Directions:1. Preheat oven to 350º. Brown meat in large skillet on med-high heat. Meanwhile, mix 1 - 1/4 cups of mozzarella, ricotta, 1/4 cup of parmesan, parsley and egg until well blended.
2. Drain meat; return to skillet. Stir in pasta sauce. Pour water into empty sauce can; shake it around and add to skillet; stir until well blended.
3. Spread 1 cup of the meat sauce onto bottom of 13x9 baking dish; cover with layers of 3 of the noodles, 1/3 of the ricotta cheese mixture and 1 cup of the remaining meat sauce. Repeat layers 2 times. Top with remaining 3 noodles and remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with remaining 1 - 1/4 cups mozzarella and 1/4 cup parmesan. Cover tightly with greased foil.
4. Bake 1 hour. Uncover; bake an additional 15 min. or until heated through. Let stand 15 min. before cutting to serve. |
