3 cups canned pumpkin
1 1/2 cups oil (can substitute some applesauce)
4 cups white sugar
6 eggs
4 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon (I usually add more)
1 1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Mix pumpkin, oil, sugar and eggs. Combine flour and spices. Stir flour mixture into pumpkin mixture. Pour into greased bread pans.

Yield: 3 loaves
Bake at 350º for about an hour or until a toothpick comes out pretty clean.

I like to add about 3/4 cup chocolate chips to each loaf and I often make these as muffins.
