1 cup rasins
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp baking soda

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 large egg(well beaten)

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Mix raisens and water and boil for 5 min then add baking soda. add remaining ingredients and cook at 325º for 12 min.
