2 lb unpaired potatoes cooked and drained or
2 lb frozen hash brown potatoes
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 stick margarine
1 (8 oz) carton sour cream
6 strips bacon (fried crisp and crumbled)
1 can cream of celery soup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup corn flakes, crushed
2 tablespoons margarine, melted

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel potatoes and chop into a large mixing bowl. Sauté 1/2 stick margarine with chopped onion. Remove from heat and pour over potatoes, sour cream, soup, cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon. You can also add 1/4 cup of snipped chives if available. Turn into a prepared 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with crushed cornflakes and drizzle melted margarine over all. Cover lightly with foil and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes removing foil for last 15 minutes to brown top nicely.
