1 gal. dandelion blossoms, measured when they are fresh
1 gal. boiling water
3 oranges, sliced
3 lemons, sliced
3 lbs. sugar, then 1 lb. sugar
1/2 cake compressed yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Scald blossoms and let stand for 3 hours. Strain and add oranges, lemons and 3 lbs. sugar. Put in a large vessel and bring to a boil; let cool to lukewarm.

Put into a stone jar and add 1/2 cake of compressed yeast and let stand 3 days.

Strain and add a pound of sugar. Allow to ferment for 3 weeks. Strain and bottle.
