Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Filling:
2 cups grape nuts cereal
¼ cup hot water
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter, melted
2 tsp. cinnamon
Mix all this together and set aside.

Dough:
2 cups all purpose flour
2 T. sugar
1 T. baking powder
1 t. salt
1/8 t. nutmeg
½ cup shortening
about 2/3 cup milk

ICING: 1 T. hot milk and about 1 cup or so powdered sugar. Just add more of each until you get the consistency you want.

Directions:
Directions:
Filling - mix all ingredients together and set aside.
Dough - Mix dry ingredients together. Add shortening and milk (if it doesn’t stir up and is too dry, you may need to add a little more milk). You want it to stir up into a soft dough ball. Then roll it out on a flour dusted board (or I use a pastry cloth) into a rectangular shape and maybe about ¼ inch thick. Then spread the filling out on top of it, and then roll it up so it will be like a log. Carefully ease the log onto a greased baking sheet and then bring the ends together to make a ring.

Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Frost with icing.

Personal Notes:
If you like more filling you can double the filling.
