large jar sauerkraut with its juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup salad oil
1 large onion processed until super fine and liquidy in processor or sliced paper thin on mandolin and then chopped super fine.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in medium size mixing bowl stirring until sugar melts.Place in a quart sized jar or airtight container and let stand overnight.
Serve alone like a pickle relish or on hotdogs or brauts.

This is an old southern recipe given to me by a client who has since passed away. It is always a huge hit at our cookouts.
