1 cup cornmeal
1 cup self-rising flour
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 1/2 cups water
1 cups sliced okra
1/2 cup chopped onions
Butter (as needed)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together all dry ingredients; add water to desired consistency (more water for thin pancakes). Add onions and okra to the batter.

Place butter in skillet and heat. Using large spoon or ladle, place spoonfuls of batter in skillet. Cook until underside is brown (bubbles will appear on top of cake), flip and brown opposite side. Serve warm.
