1 3/4 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 T. butter
1 tsp. caraway
1 c. rye flour
4 c. white flour
2-3 tsp. dry or 1/2 square cake yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together everything except flour. Make sure yeast dissolves. Mix in flour, knead. While kneading, add flour if sticky. Let raise double in size. Knead it down and put in floured pans. Let rise again, then bake 45 min at 350º. Butter crust when done.

This recipe cut in half and put in bread machine in order as written makes 1 loaf.
