1 1/2 pint pickling onions
1 pint water
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tbsp sugar (rounded)
1 tsp. curry powder (rounded)
2 tbsp cornstarch (heaping)
1/2 cup whipping cream

Directions:
Directions:
Peel off outer skin of onions. Pierce each onion with a darning needle or equivalent thereof. Simmer onions gently until tender. Drain and save onion water. Set aside. Mix cream, sugar, curry powder, and cornstarch in juice of onions. Put onion in bowl temporarily. Put juice mixture in pan on low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Put onions back in mixture and fold in and over onions. Barely heat up again and simmer for 1 minute. Serve immediately.
