1 (l lb) can pitted sour cherries
1 1/14 cups Burgandy or red wine
1 ( 4 3/4 ounce) package raspberry-currant or
strawberry Danish Dessert mix
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Drain cherries, reserving 1/4 cup cherry water. In a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish, combine cherry water, wine, Danish Dessert mix and sugar. Stir until blended. Stirring occassionally, cook on high micro 4 to 5 minutes or unti mixture comes to a boil, thicknens and becomes clear. Stir in cherries, cinnamon, nutmeg and almond extract. Cover surface with waxed paper or plastic wrap. Referigerate until chilled. Makes about 2 cups.
