1 cup sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 1/2 cups red cherries
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 drops almond extract
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup cherry juice

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch. Stir in juice, add cherries and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and clear. Remove from heat, add lemon juice, almond extract and butter. Pour into unbaked shells. Add top crust. Bake at 350º for 20 to 25 minutes.
