1 1/2 cup molasses
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. shortening/butter
1/8 tsp. soda
1/8 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Boil the first three ingredients to the hard ball stage, 270º. Add butter, soda and salt. Remove from heat and stir until soda is blended; pour on greased platter. When cool pull between greased fingertips until white in color and stiff. Cut into 1" pieces and wrap in waxed paper.
