2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 cups applesauce
2 tsp. soda
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
2 cups quick oats
2 cups raisins
2 cups nuts, chopped
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Beat. Add soda to applesauce. Pour in sugar and egg mixture. Add flour and other dry ingredients slowly. Add oatmeal, raisins and nuts. Mix well. Drop on cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 325º.
