1/4 lb. butter, creamed
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
Pinch of salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. cut up cherries and some juice (omit juice if batter is too thin)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together salt, baking powder and flour. Add to butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and milk mixture. Add raisins, nuts, cherries and juice, if juice is needed. Shape into long rolls on ungreased baking sheet by dropping large spoonfuls and forming a long roll. Bake at 375º for 15 - 20 minutes. Let cool and then ice with plain sugar icing. Wrap in foil to freeze.
