3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of salt
2 1/2 cups (more or less) buttermilk
6 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda mixed with buttermilk
6 tablespoons Crisco

Directions:
Directions:
Sift the dry ingredients together. Cut Crisco into dry ingredients, then add buttermilk and soda mixed together. Roll out on floured surface, not over working the dough. Cut out biscuits. Melt 2 or 3 tablespoons Crisco in a iron skillet and roll the biscuits on both sides with the melted Crisco. Bake at 350° until golden brown. Melt in your mouth good!
