1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 med. can fruit cocktail (15 oz.), do not drain
1/2 c. coconut

Topping:
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 evaporated milk
1 1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Beat sugar, eggs and oil.
Add flour, salt and baking powder. Beat together until well mixed. Add fruit cocktail and 1/2 cup coconut. Mix. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes in a 9 x 13 baking dish.

Bring margarine, vanilla, sugar and milk to a boil until thick. Stir in 1 1/2 cuups coconut and 1/2 cup walnuts. Stir and spread topping on cake while both are hot.
