2 1/2 lbs. chicken, cut up
1/3 cup cornstarch
2 tsp. paprika
1 green pepper, cut in strips
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. soy sauce
3 cups rice, cooked
1/4 cup oil
1 cup celery, cut up
1 can pineapple chunks
1/3 cup walnuts
1/4 cup seedless raisins

Directions:

Shake chicken, 2 or 3 pieces, in a bag containing cornstarch and paprika. Coat evenly. Save mixture. Brown chicken slowly in moderately hot oil in skillet. When browned, put in baking dish. Drain pineapple saving liquid. Add pineapple, celery and green pepper. Put under chicken. Cover and cook 40 minutes. Combine 1 tbsp. of cornstarch mixture with brown sugar and soy sauce and 1/4 cup of pineapple liquid. Pour over chicken and continue cooking 15 more minutes. Oven temperature not given.
