1 carrot
1 potatoe
1 onion or leek
1 C water
Bacon chopped or 2 tsps instant bacon stock
50g butter
3 tbsp flour
1 450g can whole kernel corn and brine
1 C milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté onion and bacon in pot with a little oil. Scrub and then cube the carrot and potatoe. Put water, carrot and potatoe in the pot with sauté mixture.

In another pot melt butter, add the flour and make a sauce using the corn liquid made up to 2 cups with milk (making a white sauce).

Stir the sauce into the cooked vegetables. Mash or puree mixture if desired and then add the corn. Serve with chunky brown bread.
