2 to 3 lb. roast (venison, caribou, bear, elk, even beef)
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 to 2 cans mushrooms (4 oz.)
1 c. red wine

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Spread 1/2 the package of onion soup. Mix in bottom of roasting pan. Sprinkle rest of mix on top of roast. Pour mushrooms and wine over meat. Cover tight and bake in 325 degree oven for approximately 2 hours. Remove roast from pan. Add 2 cups cold water to pan. Mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch in 1/2 cup of cold water. Add to gravy and bring to boil. Serve cut up meat and gravy over boiled noodles.
