2 lb lean beef (cubed sirloin tips)
2 tbsp. shortening
5 medium onions
1-1/2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. margoram, thyme, salt and pepper)
1 cup beef bouillon
1 cup dry red wine
1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms

Directions:
Directions:
Brown onions in shortening, remove from pan. Brown meat, then sprinkle with flour and seasoning. Add beef bouillon and red wine. Cook on med/low for 3-1/4 hours. Add onions and mushrooms. Cook 3/4 hour longer adding liquid as needed.

Serve over noodles or rice. Serves about 8.
