Directions:Sift flour and salt in a large bowl. Make a nest in the flour and beat in egg, butter, milk and water. (make sure water and milk are warm). Mix well and knead until smooth and light being careful not to get any hard particles in dough as this will break dough when you stretch it. Form into a ball the size you need for your table and place in a floured or buttered dishsto it doesn't stick. Cover with a heated dish and set in a warm place for a least 1/2 hour. Place a floured heated table cloth on the table. Place ball of dough in the centre of the table. Stretch a bit and brush with melted butter especially around the sides. Stretch until the size of the table. You need at least 2 people to do this. Sprinkle with fine soft bread crumbs, apples, sugar and cinnamon and dots of butter. Roll up and place in a greased pan. Bake in a medium oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Brush with cream or melted butter. |

She says she also has used philo dough instead of making the dough from scratch and that they are just as delicious!
